The Drape

This piece was exhibited @al_emaan_centre for their art exhibition. So many visitors were intrigued about this piece and why I created it. It was a dedication to (old) images that I grew up seeing around my grandparents home (images we don’t see like this anymore)

This is how the kiswa was draped in those days. It brings a feeling of nostalgia and memories of my childhood when these images are brought back to life again.

So I created this piece to preserve the memory not only for myself but for the next generation too.
